Bugzilla – Bug 9710
Default wlan power saving off, move power management settings into its own item

and add a nicely worded settings menu to turn it on. Also when the screen is on, don't enable wlan power save mode. This will fix compatibility with many access points. After a discussion with Dean, although the battery life will be shorter the out of the box experience will be better for many people.
Richard, is the way you want this bug fixed at all affected by the work you've been doing with wlan and audio playback?
for 7.3 I will move the power save settings out of factory test and into a more sensible location also for 7.3 I will add strings in anticipation of further changes for 7.3.1/7.4, default wlan power saving to off and test to determine implications of change
per Dean's recommendation, pushing 100% of this off until 7.3.1
Changing target to next release

Moving to the product SqueezePlay because this bug appears to apply to any player based on that application code. Feel free to move it back if it's specific to the single original product.
Reset priority before triage.
this is an administrative shuffle on priority fields to help make better judgment on the top end of the priority list. P4->P5, P3->P4, and P2->P3.
Dan, since 7.3 do we have problems with Controller and power saving on access points?
Lets close this one for now, if Tech Support gets any further empirical data on this, they can reopen the bug
