Description Mark Miksis 2008-01-05 14:47:12 UTC
On my SB2's, when you navigate through the various menus, a musical note is displayed when you get to an item that can be played. This is very convenient, especially when navigating opml based entries that have multiple levels, but it also nice at other times.

The Jive UI should have something similar (unless it does and I'm missing it)

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 6220 ***
Comment 2 Ben Klaas 2008-02-11 07:35:09 UTC
this is not a dupe of 6220. Reopening as a 7.0.1 bug

the idea here is that a second icon (a musical note) could be used on a given menu item to show whether hitting play on that item will cause something to play. In theory our PlayerUI does that, but this behavior is not really comprehensive there either.
Comment 3 Richard Titmuss 2008-03-11 13:38:46 UTC
Ben, is this fixed now?
Comment 4 Ben Klaas 2008-03-11 13:42:11 UTC
No, it is not. Why would you think so...have you seen musical notes appear somewhere?

FWIW, we don't really do this correctly across any of our UIs.

Reset priority
Comment 6 Ben Klaas 2008-03-19 08:30:50 UTC
removing priorities from all 7.0.1 target bugs for re-prioritizing
Comment 7 Ben Klaas 2008-04-11 08:39:59 UTC
sorry, but this one's getting bumped to 7.1.

there's a couple hurdles here--
1. good support for multiple icons on a menu line item in squeezeplay. right now it's kind of a hack to get more than one icon on a line (e.g., album art thumbnail plus right arrow icon)
2. a consistent means of telling SBC "you can play this". The player UI has this to some extent, but it's not consistent at all.

Comment 8 Ben Klaas 2008-06-06 08:59:41 UTC
this will be (and needs to be) addressed in 7.2 Squeezeplay
Comment 9 Richard Titmuss 2008-07-24 04:18:04 UTC
SqueezePlay won't make 7.2, changing target to 7.3.
Comment 10 Ben Klaas 2008-11-02 12:30:28 UTC
this isn't going to be fixed by 7.3. retarget for 7.3.1
Comment 11 James Richardson 2008-12-19 08:01:05 UTC
Changing target to next release
Comment 12 Ben Klaas 2009-01-05 10:12:58 UTC

Moving to the product SqueezePlay because this bug appears to apply to any player based on that application code. Feel free to move it back if it's specific to the single original product.
Comment 14 Richard Titmuss 2009-07-27 02:54:15 UTC
Matt, I think your moving away from this, but you need to decide what action we need to take.
Comment 15 Weldon Matt 2009-07-29 16:18:30 UTC
I believe we've fixed this when you are scrolled over a playable item (play icon appears)
