I just changed my nowplaying screensaver to none.  The controller then does not launch the stopped screensaver when the receiver is stopped or off.  The Now Playing screen just stays lit.

QA verified 

Settings > Screen > Screen Dimming = 1 minute
Settings > Screen > Screensavers > Delay = 10s
Settings > Screen > Screensavers > When Playing = None
Settings > Screen > Screensavers > When Stopped = Analog Clock

Play a track
Set controller to now playing
Press button on Receiver to pause track
wait for screensaver to kick in
Notice clock SS never kicks in.

Ben would this one be yours to investigate?

Moving to the product SqueezePlay because this bug appears to apply to any player based on that application code.  Feel free to move it back if it's specific to the single original product.

there have been a lot of changes to SS behavior, and this now works. tested against jive r7103
