Albums listed do not sort by year regardless of the "album sort method" setting

When setting the album sort order in the settings of the controller, the year order is not obeyed when you list albums via genre -> artist. In the past, albums accessed another way (e.g. artist -> list all albums), the sort order is obeyed. *** NOTE - As I'm entering the info for this bug, I've noticed that no matter how I navigate now, the albums are not listed in year order. There seems to be some inconsitent behavior regarding this. I know that there was a way that the order was presented by year. On the web interface, the sort order by year works, so I know I have my year tags set correctly. My collection is made up of mp3s encoded with LAME. I'm running the production version of 7.1. please leave targets undefined for new reports. these get set once a bug is reviewed.

Controller bug, yes, but code fix will be entirely on the SC side. target for 7.3
this isn't going to be fixed by 7.3. retarget for 7.3.1

It is sad that this has been put on hold, the controller is not as usefull when you can not see the individual artists albums in chronological order :-( Regards Bebop
Moving to the product SqueezePlay because this bug appears to apply to any player based on that application code. Feel free to move it back if it's specific to the single original product.
Reset priority before triage.
this is an administrative shuffle on priority fields to help make better judgment on the top end of the priority list. P4->P5, P3->P4, and P2->P3.
