Ticket # 091119-001195

MySqueezebox.com
SB Radio
SB Classic
SB Boom

Symptom:

With a player directly connected to mysb.com using the remote control, you cannot play Pandora stations that are chosen through Genre Stations, or searched stations.

-When you choose to play the station, it just sits there, and does nothing.

*****NOTE*****

-You can play stations you have already created (via Your Stations)using the Remote Control from mysb.com

-You can play all Pandora stations using the actual SB device.

**********

Steps to recreate:

-Connect SB Device to mysb.com (make sure you have Pandora credentials entered)
-Go to Remote Control and choose the device
-Choose Pandora, go to Genre Station, and choose any station to play

You can also search for a stations, and try to play, and you get the same results

Was able to recreate this here using Classic, Radio, and Boom.

Thanks,

LaRon

I always hated the name "Remote Control" for the web based stuff... thus I have to ask: if you say "Remote Control", are you talking about the hardware IR remote or the web based?

James' removing mysb.com from the subject makes it even more confusing...

Ticket # 091214-002100

Rhapsody & Classical.com
Mysb.com - Remote Control

When trying to play Rhapsody or Classical.com playlists through Mysb.com Remote control.

Was able to recreate this issue here. In these tests, I was not able to play ANY playlists via web remote control.

It seems that this is not service specific.

***You can play these playlists using the physical advice***
Tested with all devices - all same symptoms

SB Radio
Boom
Classic
Duet

Thanks,

LaRon

Can confirm Pandora still being broken :-(.

LaRon - I expect some of the other issues to already be fixed on test.mysqueezebox.com. Could you please try to reproduce them? Would be of great help!

I haven't been able yet to verify all of them, as some of the service wouldn't allow me to access them outside the US.

Comment 4 Walker LaRon 2009-12-16 15:32:20 UTC
Hello Michael,

I have tested the following services and they seem to be working as intended on test.mysqueezebox.com:

Rhapsody
RadioTime
Shoutcast
Slacker
AccruRadio
Soma FM
Sky.fm
RadioIO

***

Pandora still does not work

Live365 give me "No items in playlists"
Live Music Archive give "No items in playlists"

Cannot test classical.com, as we do not have an account, and all trials are stating they are expired. (Bug 15215)

I hope this information is helpful.

Thanks,

LaRon

Jason - I'm tracking Classical issues in bug 14681. While this likely is a dupe, I'd like to follow up on them separately as long as we're not sure. Thanks!

I have continued to check, and the problem is not solved. Here's what I do to encounter the problem:

1. log in to mysqueezebox.com
2. launch Remote Control
3. Select the Rhapsody application
4. Select any option (say, Music Guide)
5. Select any option (say, Features)
6. Select any option (say, Albums for You)
7. Click on the "Play this item" icon

If the Squeezebox Radio is on and playing a radio station, the Squeezebox stops playing and displays the name of the selected Rhapsody track, but without the album art (showing the "radio tower" graphic). The Rhapsody track does not play.

If I start an album from the Squeezebox Radio control I am able to use the web based Remote Control to move to previous and next tracks, pause and start the tracks. But if I try to select another album I have the problem as described above.

The problem is only fixed on test.mysqueezebox.com which will be rolled
out early next year. It's not available to Radio users yet.

This bug has been marked fixed in a released version of Squeezebox Server or the accompanying firmware or mysqueezebox.com release.

If you are still seeing this issue, please let us know!
