Bugzilla – Bug 15099
Remote Control won't play Napster playlists
Last modified: 2009-12-28 02:35:21 UTC
This is a bug report regarding the mysqueezebox.com Remote Control. I am using Firefox 3.5.4 and when pressing 'Play' on a Napster group item (eg next to the word Tracks as illustrated here: http://clip2net.com/page/m0/2480973) it does not play the item. It only plays if I press 'Play' next to the track itself by drilling down into the list of tracks, which means I can't play a group of tracks or a Napster playlist. This works fine on the Squeezebox Controller, however, but not through the web interface.
Same problem but seen with SB 3 (SS 7.4.1) and using IE 8 / Chrome.
same problem here. Squeezebox Duet, remote control works fine. Since upgrade to 7.4.1 mysqueezebox.com can play inidividual songs from Napster, but not albums, and does not work at all with playlist. When selecting an album, it album name, artist, but not the cover and it never starts running. On the controller at the same time, it says "Error, no items found in playlist". When play is hit, or pause unpressed, the second counter starts running, but after a while a timeout error is shown. If started from the controller, all is working fine. Also, once in a while, when that happened, and the controller's screen had been blank, it restarts when I try to do something (while not sure if this is not separate some kind of wake up error).
I have been having a similar problem - when adding an album from Napster into the "My Favourites" menu on the duet controller the album appears to add (i.e. it appears in the menu). However when I try to play the album the controller says that the playlist is empty and cannot play anything from the album.
I did some work on mysb.com today and fixed a bug which sounds very similar to this one (but for Rhapsody). Could you please test this with test.mysqueezebox.com?
Confirmed fixed on test.mysqueezebox.com by two users. Thanks!
I am having the same issue but with Shoutcast. I cannot log into the test.mysqueezebox.com. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Please see bug 14546
I am having the same problem. New Boom on Christmas morning and the same issues with Napster support. I am using a Windows Vista 64 PC and Firefox web browser. I am not sure of the version of my Boom. This is my first experience with Squeezebox and I hope this can be easily resolved :) I am unsure how to access the "test" account mentioned... If further instructions could be left I would certainly help where possible. Thank you.
