Bugzilla – Bug 14460
Rhapsody Issue: can't play playlists
Last modified: 2009-12-19 13:42:51 UTC
When selecting to play an entire Rhapsody album through the mysqueezebox.com Remote Control, you wil receive an error on the player "Error: no items found in playlist" You can however play one track. When attempting to play an album from the player interface, it queues up the entire album and plays fine.
Andy - a German user reported the same/similar issue for mp3tunes.
I have the same problem with Rhapsody and the web based remote. I have tried with Firefox on OS X, XP and Ubuntu, Safari on OS X and IE 8 on XP. Firebug's console gives me the following output when I try to play an album. {"params":["00:04:20:1e:c2:19",["status","-",1,"tags:uB"]],"error":null,"method":"slim.request","id":1,"result":{"seq_no":0,"mixer volume":44,"player_name":"Squeezebox","playlist_tracks":1,"player_connected":1,"time":0,"mode":"stop","playlist_timestamp":1255195882.94351,"remote":1,"rate":1,"power":1,"playlist mode":"off","playlist repeat":2,"playlist_cur_index":"0","playlist_loop":[{"playlist index":0,"id":"-141992400","title":"Murmur by R.E.M. (1984)","url":"http://www.mysqueezebox.com/api/rhapsody/v1/opml/metadata/getAlbum?albumId=Alb.96926&inLibrary=1"}],"signalstrength":76,"remoteMeta":{"id":"-141992400","title":"Murmur by R.E.M. (1984)","url":"http://www.mysqueezebox.com/api/rhapsody/v1/opml/metadata/getAlbum?albumId=Alb.96926&inLibrary=1"},"playlist shuffle":0,"current_title":"Murmur by R.E.M. Is there any progress on this bug? I'm considering adding more devices to my network, but can't really see buying something that has a crippled capability and an unresponsive dev team. Please let me know if I can provide any information to help this along.
Jay - this has been fixed and is already implemented on test.mysqueezebox.com. We exptect this and other fixes to be rolled out early next year. If you're interested in using the test version, please let me know. See bug 14387 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 14387 ***

I know I would like to use the test version. Please let me know how.
> I know I would like to use the test version. Please let me know how. Easiest: install SBS 7.5 If you're not comfortable running beta software: - shut down your SBS instance - open server.prefs in a text editor - add the following line to that file: use_sn_test: 1 - restart SBS You might need to create a new account on test.mysqueezebox.com and re-configure your apps.

As I mentioned, I have a Boom. What does not seem clear is how to access the Boom to install beta software or edit config files. SSH does not seem like an option. I was unable to find anything on the wiki or the forums (other than SSH is not an option on the Boom).
On Boom follow these steps: - press & hole left to get into firmware setup - scroll down to "current settings" - scroll down to "Squeezebox Server" - press right - enter the following IP address: 74.201.85.104 - press right - left - scroll to "Connect to 74.201.85.104" - press right
What would the steps be on a Squeezebox Classic? Thanks.
