Bugzilla – Bug 10044
Create specific popup screen after controller has been idle
Last modified: 2011-01-14 10:14:01 UTC
After the remote has been idle for an extended period of time a popup screen with a thinking widget is displayed. Suggest creating a specific screen simply telling the user, "Waking up. Please wait." With the current treatment the user could think a problem occurred... A simple fix would be to just add supporting text, "Waking up..."
Ben: Can you take a look at this?

Moving to the product SqueezePlay because this bug appears to apply to any player based on that application code. Feel free to move it back if it's specific to the single original product.
Ben - can you prioritize this? Does this need to be part of 7.4 to avoid breaking Jive?
Does not need to be part of this release.
FWIW this bug speaks to a more general problem of user feedback and what to display when having connectivity problems. Some of these issues were discussed after the UI weekly Aug. 23rd with David, Weldon, Richard, and a few others.
