Description James Richardson 2008-10-06 08:46:53 UTC
When running SP in Vista, an error occurs if it's not 'run as admin' even if logged in with an admin level account.

Reasons why SP currently wants elevated access
* writing to "program files" dir - being addressed in bug 9823
* Something about keyboard input (possibly only on vista x64) -see bug 9765
* other?

I will be getting a vista image going with Visual Studio so I can debug specifically the reasons for elevated access.

Comment 3 Wadzinski Tom 2008-11-06 15:01:58 UTC
- Settings moved to user directory: %HOMEPATH%/.squeezeplay/userpath
- console output moved to user directory: %HOMEPATH%/.squeezeplay/stderr.txt and stdout.txt

These two changes allow Vista SqueezePlay to work without admin mode on my x86 Vista image.
