Description Wadzinski Tom 2008-10-27 12:15:39 UTC
Initially, plan is to write user preference fiels to a directory in the user's home dir.

Not sure if this is related, but the windows build won't work on Vista for saving settings files, but also for downloading applets, wallpapers or soundeffects if we install it as a normal application in c:\Program Files.

I suspect we need something to support writing all of the above elsewhere - on windows would be best in the applications

fixed and spot-tested on mac intel, sp, vista and controller. User settings are now stored in <home-dir>/.squeezeplay/userpath/
where home-dir is env var:
(non-windows): HOME
(windows): HOMEPATH
