I am seeing the same behavior and results as Bug 4738 even though this file is 44.1 KHz.

Chris, any ideas?
Comment 3 Chris Owens 2007-02-06 14:43:20 UTC
You mean it plays okay if debugging is turned on but otherwise it halts?
Comment 4 Spies Steven 2007-02-06 14:54:52 UTC
Chris, that is correct.

On further investigation this file plays fine on 6.5.0 but not on 6.5.1 and only on 7.0 with (player.source) set to Debug.

Bug 4639 is another one that exhibits the same behavior.
Comment 5 Tairan Zhang 2007-02-08 08:34:07 UTC
FYI -- these MP3s were cut from a MP3/CUE using the pcutmp3 application. Bug 4750 (https://bugs-archive.lyrion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4750) looks at a related issue with gapless playback with MP3s created with this tool.

However, other MP3s created using pcutmp3 have worked without breaking playback. Any idea if this is a Slimserver or Squeezebox firmware issue?
Comment 6 Spies Steven 2007-02-12 10:53:39 UTC
Chris, this is another one that seems to be fixed with FW75.
Comment 7 Tairan Zhang 2007-02-12 11:15:41 UTC
Do firmware updates occur automatically? Seems like my Squeezebox is working again without my doing anything. Thanks!
Comment 8 Tairan Zhang 2007-02-19 16:59:51 UTC
Nevermind that last reply. I noticed that everything works fine if I run Slimserver manually with --d_source turned on, but when it runs with the windows startup, these particular files break.

I'll give the latest nightly a shot and see how that is.
Comment 9 Chris Owens 2007-04-18 11:11:08 UTC
Tairan are you still having this issue? Thanks for any info!
Comment 10 Tairan Zhang 2007-04-18 11:16:44 UTC
I must admit I have not actually tested this with recent nightly builds. My SlimServer/firmware is still the last official release and I do still have the problem with the instance of SlimServer that runs automatically on startup. As mentioned it works if I shut that instance down and run from the commandline with --d_source on, so it hasn't been bothering me greatly.

I'll make sure to download the latest nightly exe and test this out tonight. I'll post here with my results. Thanks for checking in!

Problem seems fixed!! Thanks again, Chris!
Comment 12 Chris Owens 2007-04-19 08:35:51 UTC
Since I don't know what change the developers made that fixed this particular issue, I'll just mark this as 'WORKSFORME'
Comment 13 James Richardson 2008-05-15 12:59:02 UTC
This bug has recently been fixed in the latest release of SqueezeCenter 7.0.1

Please try that version, if you still see the error, then reopen this bug.
