Description Simon Tennant 2004-03-19 11:54:32 UTC
I have many albums that are made up of multiple CDs. These are mix CDs and the
playlist ordering is important. The id3v2.4 tag (removed id3v1) has been entered
correctly for each song. When I click to play the entire album I receive the
following playlist:

  	  	1. Letting Go from Winter Chill by Nitin Sawhney
  	  	1. People Make The World Go 'round from Winter Chill by Carl Craig's
Innerzone Orchestra
  	  	2. Breather from Winter Chill by Afterlife
  	  	2. So Long from Winter Chill by Mr Scruff
  	  	3. Phased from Winter Chill by Santessa
  	  	3. Wouldn't She from Winter Chill by A Man Called Adam ...
  	  	12. Curious from Winter Chill by Guardians Of Dalliance
  	  	12. Lover Man from Winter Chill by Jazz Vandall's 13. Candlelight
from Winter Chill by Urchin
  	  	13. Sky Inside A Room from Winter Chill by Dust 14. Moonbeat from
Winter Chill by LTJ Experience

I believe the code is not respecting the "disk 1 of 2" field in the ID3 tag.

simon: could you attach a sample file or send one to me (dean@slimdevices.com) to take a look at? We
do pay attention to the disc number tags, but yours might be encoded in a way that we don't know
about yet.

Dean - do you still need access to http://imaginator.com/~simon/WinterChill.zip
?

Just a note, for me multi-disc works fine only as long as they are all from the
same artist. Each of my multi-disc sets that have different artists for each
track exhibits this random ordering symptom.

There are 536 bugs in the database with targets of '---' that were fixed prior to new year 2006. I am setting them to targets of 6.2.1 to keep them from showing up in my queries.
