Description vagskal 2010-02-14 10:28:40 UTC
1. Take a various artist album (i.e. the compilation flag set to 1) with different artists for each track. Set the genre for all tracks to Pop except the last one which is set to Blues. Artist A has a Pop song on that VA album and in the SBS database artist A has also a "normal" album (i.e. A set as artist on each track) with the genre Blues (I am not sure if this condition is really necessary or if it enough that artist A has a Blues song on another VA album).

2. Set the filter genres option in SBS to show only tracks or albums by the artist in the chosen genre.

3. Select Genre => Blues => Artist A. The VA album mentioned in 1 above will show up in the list of albums.

4. Click on the VA album mentioned in 1 above and no song will show up; it is just an empty entry.

I think the VA album mentioned in 1 above should not show up under artist A when browsing by the Blues genre since he/she has no song labelled Blues on that album. It is in any case redundant and confusing to have an "empty" album showing up.

I am running 7.4.2 r30085 on Win XP.

I have the group compilation albums together option set in SBS. The VA album has no Albumartist (or TPE2 tag in MP3) set, but the tag COMPILATION (in a Vorbis comment for flac files) or ITUNESCOMPILATION (for MP3 ID 3.2v3) set to 1.

I see this in the web UI and on iPeng as well.

Could be related to bug 15180.
