Bugzilla – Bug 15231
Preview alarm volume on SqueezePlay UIs
Last modified: 2011-01-19 09:27:17 UTC
When setting the alarm, you should be able to preview the volume that it will go off at. ie. when setting the volume, play a sound to indicate what 3/10 really sounds like. Otherwise it could be too quiet or loud to wake you.
Re-assigning to Squeezeplay product as this applies to all SP-based UIs and may be different from Player-UI solution (bug 9057)

If there is a way that this is nicely and easily integrated into the new alarm preview, then feel free to do so. Otherwise, it can fall off the 7.5.1 list and we will reconsider its target moving forward.
previewing different alarm sounds will be delivered for 7.5.1 previewing alarm volume will not be... this is a good and valid enhancement request, it just does not fall within scope for the next bugfix release.
Ben I'm writing in this bug-report (instead of #9057) is this one is still assigned to you so you will receive my comment :D ... I just tested the new feature with my Controller (as the Radio firmware isn't pushed yet on 7.6.x or 7.5.x) controlling the Radio. First of all - it works very nice ! There might be some minor bug left: On the controller display the UI when an alarm tune is playing (that popup showing the name) is misaligned: the tune-name is capped and not centered. Don't know if this affects the Touch or Radio though (or a Controller when setting an alarm for Tranporter or Receiver).
