Bugzilla – Bug 12367
Front panel knob sometimes registers 2 pushes instead of only 1
Last modified: 2009-09-08 09:24:00 UTC
That is, I push the knob once but it registers 2 pushes. Firmware 6080.
This is easy to see in the factory test screen. I think it's just a longer debounce time is needed.
I'm unable to replicate this. Do you still see double presses?

(In reply to comment #2) > I'm unable to replicate this. Do you still see double presses? At r6086, yes.
Button debouncing added in fab4 r6204. I don't see this often, so please reopen the bug asap if you see bouncing still after upgrading to this version. Thanks.

with r6372 I'm either seeing this bug, or another bug. When going to App Guide, attempting to enable an feature with the knob, it will 'double' tap some times. OR, not select at all. Using the 'play' or the IR it selects right away
caleb, can you take a look at james unit and measure the bounce. cheers.
I took a look at James' unit, and unfortunately I soldered a wire to it to make monitoring easy. The problem disappeared. I suspect this is due to a cold solder joint in the knob soldering. We need another bouncy unit to verify the problem. -Caleb
This bug has been identified as one that may not be required for MPQ since it now seems clear that MPQ and MP firmwares will be different. Please comment if you disagree with this assessment. Thanks!

Richard, what rev did you make the 100 ms change in?
Once again, can't reproduce here. Pretty sure it's a soldering issue, so will postpone to MP.
Should be resolved with 12844. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 12844 ***
