Bugzilla – Bug 9941
Large direct stream HTTP request strings cause problems
Last modified: 2010-05-07 10:52:59 UTC
Related to bug 9709. Since there is technically no limit on the size of an HTTP request string we can pass to the player, I wonder if the way the memory allocation works for this should be improved. Can the request string be stored in a different memory area to allow for a larger max size? We should also define a max size for the request, and instead of crashing the player, just return an error.
Changing target to next release
We are now planning to make a 7.3.3 release. Please review your bugs (all marked open against 7.3.3) to see if they can be fixed in the next few weeks, or if they should be retargeted for 7.4 or future. Thanks!
Since there's now a planned 7.3.3 release, bugs which won't make the cut-off are being moved to the next target out. If you feel that this bug needs to be addressed more (or less) urgently than the 7.4 release, please cc chris@slimdevices.com and leave a comment in the bug to that effect so we can review it. Thanks.
All new Squeezebox products are likely to be based on the SqueezePlay platform. We do not plan to implement any further enhancements to the ip3k firmware or which are targeted specifically at ip3k-based products.
