Hmm... that's weird, as we didn't update the installer software since 7.1. Tom - any idea? The other bug 9847 was about the SP installer. Therefore I doubt it's the port detection code.

LaRon - a question for the client: did he update WHS since he had installed the previous version of SC? These updates sometimes reset some permissions.

Hello Michael,

I did ask him that, and he said no, and said he rarely even touches this OS. Is strictly a Media server for his music.

I have no idea either. It installs fine for me on Windows Home Server Service Pack 2. SqueezeCenter reports the following: SqueezeCenter Version: 7.2.1 - 23630 @ Tue Oct 21 07:44:57 PDT 2008 - Windows Server 2003 - EN - cp1252

Changing target to monitor so this does not hold up the 7.3 release.
Comment 7 James Richardson 2009-01-29 08:26:40 UTC
There is a new installer specific to Windows Home Server. I suggest we close this bug as fixed now that we have it.
Comment 8 Michael Herger 2009-01-29 08:52:56 UTC
Ahm... that installer isn't available yet.

To get around this problem, you can run v7.2.1 setup from the "dos" command prompt.

The problem no longer exists in v7.3.2.
