Description Tim 2008-10-29 21:05:28 UTC
I installed Squuezeplay 7.1 on my WHS and it works fine. I purchased a Boom and it requires 7.2.1. When I try to install (the .exe file) 7.2.1 on WHS, I get the following error:

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

I am logged in as administrator. And, I verified that I could "reinstall" 7.1. It reinstalled fine. But, I can't use my Boom, until this problem is corrected.

you may find a faster resolution by contacting support@slimdevices.com or phoning the support line.

Please contact support. This is unlikely a general bug (there are many working WHS installations out there), but some issue with your particular configuration. Support can guide you through the steps needed to narrow down the problem. Thanks!

see bug 9854 for a workaround (dupe report, of course)
