Description Walker LaRon 2008-10-20 17:49:59 UTC
All of the tags display correctly, but SqueezeCenter shows the wrong information at the album level.

SC 7.x and 7.2.1
Local Music (no Itunes)
Music digitized with MP3Tag v2.41
Customer's directory structure:

G:\Music\Songs\0-9
G:\Music\Songs\A-E
G:\Music\Songs\F-J
G:\Music\Songs\K-O
G:\Music\Songs\P-T
G:\Music\Songs\U-Z

The songs are all stored in the Songs sub-folders based on the album name. SqueezeCenter reports the following statistics:

Total Tracks: 13,600

Total Albums: 877

Total Artists: 1,334

Total Genres: 26

Total Playing Time: 1024:10:33

**Steps to recreate the issue**

Create a folder called "Small Test"

Moved the attached songs into the folder called "Small Test".

Change my music folder in SqueezeCenter to "Small Test" and rescan library

SqueezeCenter shows a single album called Greatest Hits with the Grassroots artwork.

-When you open that, you see both the Grassroots and the Tom Petty tracks.

-Locate by artist, you will see both artists listed.

-If you open Tom Petty, you can see the Greatest Hits album, but with the Grassroots artwork.

-If you open that album up, it shows the Tom Petty song with the correct artwork and metadata.

Steven: can you address this one
Comment 4 Spies Steven 2008-11-19 17:10:03 UTC
This sounds just like bug 2976. I don't believe we currently have a way to get around this issue in SC other then have the user put the tracks in separate directories or add the tag Compilation=0 to the files.
Comment 5 Blackketter Dean 2008-11-23 14:50:30 UTC
agreed, the user will need to adjust their library to fix this.
