Just as an idea, might still be too detailed to be recognized at low resolution. (12.38 KB, image/png)

Description Blackketter Dean 2008-10-02 12:38:43 UTC
for both windows and mac. Fallback is a cleaned up Squeezebox Classic image, but I think we can do better.
Comment 1 Blackketter Dean 2008-10-02 12:40:39 UTC
Also, update the SqueezeCenter icon to not be hardware-focused.
Comment 2 Mark Miksis 2008-10-02 12:54:02 UTC
Tom, please also include the icon somewhere in the Linux tarball so it can be easily used for the RPM and Deb to add desktop menu entries.

Ping, Noah, these bugs are assigned to you for 7.3/Falco
Comment 6 ndijulio 2008-11-17 09:21:26 UTC
Do you need the final application icons in .tiff format or other? Please specify a desired format if other than .tiff or .png.

In addition, will you need the following for Vista:

   1. 256×256, 32-bit color, PNG compressed
   2. 256×256, 8-bit color, PNG compressed
   3. 256×256, 4-bit color, PNG compressed
   4. 48×48, 32-bit color, uncompressed
   5. 48×48, 8-bit color, uncompressed
   6. 48×48, 4-bit color, uncompressed
   7. 32×32, 32-bit color, uncompressed
   8. 32×32, 8-bit color, uncompressed
   9. 32×32, 4-bit color, uncompressed
  10. 16×16, 32-bit color, uncompressed
  11. 16×16, 8-bit color, uncompressed
  12. 16×16, 4-bit color, uncompressed

Currently, the artwork are saved as .tiff

A high-resolution (512x512) 24-bit alpha PNG is the most important, the rest can be derived from that.

Noah: where do we stand on this?
Comment 9 ndijulio 2009-07-15 14:38:14 UTC
This bug should probably be reassigning depending on development for 7.4.
Comment 10 Michael Herger 2009-07-28 02:42:31 UTC
Noah - is this the final icon to be used? If so - would be great if we could have it in a Windows compatible .ico file with all the various resolutions too.
Comment 11 ndijulio 2009-07-28 09:06:13 UTC
No this artwork is very old:) Please do NOT use. This bug is still currently under review.

Matt - Need more direction on this in terms of final approach, schedule, etc. Please reassign to me once we have a directive.

This probably warrants a meeting between myself and all relevant parties to discuss opportunities and desired directions.

we should review this task: though Matt isn't working for us any longer, we shouldn't keep shipping icons of products we no longer sell (SB3)

How about the icon used for the iPhone app? Sure, they have slightly different functions, but I think the consistency is more important.
Comment 17 Ben Klaas 2011-05-27 09:57:06 UTC
Dean! :)

I'm not sure why Mickey is using this bug for what we're currently up to, but the task at hand is for a server icon that has audio/video/photos capability. So while I like that icon, the iPhone app icon won't cut it.

Gentlemen - I'm happy to announce that this critical issue has been resolved in the upcoming LMS release.
