Description jeffrey s miller 2008-09-15 10:28:47 UTC
With Squeezebox and Boom it appears you can't go into Now Playing, select the Album/Artist/Genre/Year, and have it play next by pressing+holding add. If you drill down to Now Playing>Artist>Albums, it will allow you to add the currently playing track's album next, but not from the top level of Now Playing.

Not sure if it's working as designed, but it may be unintuitive to new users.

Please see http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/ControllerUI
--------------
Press ADD to append the displayed selection to the end of the current playlist. Press and hold ADD to play next. If you press ADD while displaying:

    * Genre, artist or album – Player adds all the songs for the displayed genre, artist, or album to the end of the Now Playing playlist

    * Song – Player adds that song to the end of the list.

    * Playlist – Player adds all of the songs in that playlist.

    * Folder – Player adds all the songs in that folder and subfolders.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Power on Boom.
2. Start a random song mix.
3. Navigate to Now Playing.
4. Press Right on a track in the playlist for Track Info.
5. Scroll to Artist, Album, Genre, or Year.
6. Notice that pressing and holding Add on any option appends to end of playlist.

Workaround:
7. Navigate back to Now Playing.
8. Press Right for Track Info.
9. Press Right on Artist to list all Albums by Artist.
10. Press and hold Add on an Album and it will play next as intended.

It works exactly as Jeff describes on my Squeezebox classic (I assume that's what the 1,2&3 are called nowadays).
