Description slav 2008-09-03 11:25:01 UTC
with remote:
-from a track (eg the current playing track or any other track in the now playing, or from browsing), go right to enter tag info, if attempt to 'Add Next' (press & hold add) from tag info (eg Artist, Album etc.) it does not work, it will only Add to End
-if descending one more item from the track tag info (eg from artist > album) the 'Add Next' works fine
-this also works fine if you browse to the music (be it the track, album etc), just not from the first level from the track tags
-this behaviour occurs regardless of the shuffle mode, or if you're using the Random plugin or not
-this occurs on 7.1 & 7.2 (it worked in previous versions, incl. 7.0.1 & 6.51)

thanks.

Punting to 7.3. I think INPUT.Choice may need to be updated to support add.hold. XMLBrowser can currently only define an action for onAdd.

Triode: any thoughts?
Comment 4 Adrian Smith 2008-10-07 14:04:26 UTC
If you change the INPUT.Choice default map entry to be:

add.single	= add_single
add.hold        = add_hold

(remove other add entries)

Does this mean you see 'single' or 'hold' as a functarg past to the xmlbrowser onAdd handler?

Fixed in change 23872.

Hi - just tested this (w/ the latest nightly) and it still doesn't seem to work correctly for me.
When doing an add next it simply plays the selection, clearing out the existing Now Playing list (not adding it to next, or as previously adding to end).
This again is only at the first 'level' of the tag.
Can anyone confirm this??
Comment 7 James Richardson 2008-12-15 12:07:16 UTC
This bug has been fixed in the 7.3.0 release version of SqueezeCenter!

Please download the new version from http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html if you haven't already.

If you are still experiencing this problem, feel free to reopen the bug with your new comments and we'll have another look.

This problem still occurs for me (slightly dif't result than original problem, see below).
This happens on two separate machines (running win xp); 7.3, 7.3.1 & 7.3.2 nightly (jan 6)

When doing an add next it simply plays the selection, clearing out the existing
Now Playing list (not adding it to next, or as previously adding to end).
This again is only at the first 'level' of the tag.

thx.

qa to reproduce
Comment 10 James Richardson 2009-01-08 10:39:03 UTC
SC Version: 7.3.1 - 24372 WEB UI functions properly for me.

Can you please include step by step instructions on how to reproduce this error?

Include the version of SC you are running, as well as any 3rd party plugins you have active
Comment 11 slav 2009-01-08 11:58:12 UTC
Problem is only when using Remote (SB3 & Softsqueeze), not WEB UI, the WEB UI works as expected.

The steps to reproduce are the same as the original description above, the only difference now is that instead of adding to the end, it replaces the current list and plays (ie just like hitting the play button)

The problem occurs the same on the two installs below:
SC Version: 7.3.1 - 24372, no 3rd party plugins
SC Version 7.3.2 - 24523 @ Jan.6, 3rd party plugins: IRBlaster, WeatherTime, SuperDateTime, StatusFirst
Comment 12 James Richardson 2009-01-08 13:15:00 UTC
QA Verified, that ONLY when in Track.Info menu will this happen. From Album/Artist/Genre level it functions as expected.

Andy: yours to look at? or someone else.

Since there's now a planned 7.3.3 release, bugs which won't make the cut-off are being moved to the next target out. If you feel that this bug needs to be addressed more (or less) urgently than the 7.4 release, please cc chris@slimdevices.com and leave a comment in the bug to that effect so we can review it.

Thanks.
Comment 14 Chris Owens 2009-03-31 08:52:35 UTC
For some reason Bugzilla did not change the target when I did this yesterday. Or maybe it was me. In either case, I'm trying it again.
Comment 15 Andy Grundman 2009-07-29 14:58:44 UTC
Moving 7.4 bugs to 8.0.
