Server log when network.http=debug

Hi,
The remote streaming has stopped working around a week ago or so.
To reproduce the problem, do the following:
1) Point your client's player to Squeezecenter stream -> http://<mysite>:9015/stream.mp3
2) Select the remote player from Squeezecenter's player list on the top right.
3) Navigate to your favourite album on the left hand side frame
4) Click Play

Behavior:
Normally nothing happens. Occasionally I see the album cover in the playlist front. Sometimes I even here something for a while. After a minute or so, Winamp gives me 'End of playback' and that's it.

I have now tried in two client PC's with similar results
In both I run Win XP + Winamp 5.5 + Firefox 3.0.1.

To eliminate bandwidth issues, I brought my work laptop home and saw the same behavior.

I'm running unstables - currently 7.3~23045.

This issue has already been discussed in Bug 9402 and Bug 9394, but reopen was requested.

Any news around this issue. Is anyone even able to reproduce this?

I just tested this a little. I can get it to play, but just barely. Takes an odd combo of pressing play in both the web ui and on the client player, and a little luck. Once it begins, it doesn't work very well, with a lot of dropouts, so it can't be used for listening.

Probably the reason is that transcoding to Mp3 is working poorly in 7.3. Seems unable to maintain a stream and I get dropouts even over a wired gigabit ethernet LAN. Also, there's a very long delay before a stream will begin, vs. just a second or two at most with 7.2.

I use Squeezeslave instead of stream.mp3 on my computer at work, but the problems are similar, so it's not just stream.mp3. There are also problems when streaming trancoded Mp3 to hardware players such as SB2.

FYI, I have now downgraded to 7.2 stable, so I will not be able to help debug anymore. Streaming works sweetly there.
Good luck!

I think this should now be working - change 23220.

There are some problems using skip with the default skin:

[08-09-18 22:19:31.8599] Slim::Web::JSONRPC::requestMethod (358) Request failed with error: Bad dispatch!
[08-09-18 22:19:31.8627] Slim::Control::Request::execute (1884) Error: While trying to run function coderef [Slim::Control::Commands::buttonCommand]: [Can't use an undefined value as an ARRAY reference at /data1/awy/oz-workspace/SC7.3/Slim/Hardware/IR.pm line 506.
]

but I guess that that is a different issue.

Assigning to QA for verification and further testing.
Comment 6 Michael Herger 2008-10-08 06:40:50 UTC
change 23466 - don't use the IR button commands when controlling a HTTP client. This should fix the issue mentioned by Alan in comment #4

Ross: please verify the fix's work. then mark as fixed if it does.
Comment 8 Ross Levine 2008-11-11 18:53:14 UTC
Works in 7.3 - 23875, thanks Michael.
Comment 9 James Richardson 2008-12-15 12:07:22 UTC
This bug has been fixed in the 7.3.0 release version of SqueezeCenter!

Please download the new version from http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html if you haven't already.

If you are still experiencing this problem, feel free to reopen the bug with your new comments and we'll have another look.
