Description Max Spicer 2008-08-11 13:52:21 UTC
The snow screensaver puts its settings directly under Settings on the player ui. This seems out of place now that there is a Display sub-menu. It would probably be better under Display, or possibly under Display->Screensavers.
Comment 1 Blackketter Dean 2008-08-11 16:36:50 UTC
Yes, under Display -> Screensavers would be best.

This was already mentioned (and ignored) in the settings rework bug report (I asked, but never got a response). This will require plugin api changes.

as I see it, it's a hardcoded position (which means enforcing the plugin) or you extend the home menu addSubMenu function to go to an arbitrary depth, which opens up any plugin to place a menu option just about anywhere.
Comment 4 Michael Herger 2008-08-11 21:49:22 UTC
Yeah, addSubMenu is currently too limited for all the menu moving we're trying to do. There's some other request to move some items to the Information list. Thus currently just isn't possible without some work in the menu code.
Comment 5 Michael Herger 2009-07-29 05:25:18 UTC
I don't see this happen any time soon.

All new Squeezebox products are likely to be based on the SqueezePlay platform.
We do not plan to implement any further enhancements to the ip3k firmware or
which are targeted specifically at ip3k-based products.
