Bugzilla – Bug 8610
Controller can't start music from music folder
Last modified: 2008-07-05 16:47:13 UTC
I saw this yesterday in 7.2, reverted to 7.1 Now todays 7.1 appears broken as well. Symptom is that I can start radio URL's from playlists or favorites, but if I navigate into my Music Library and try to play something, the controller says playing when I press play, but its not. It does not show up on the Web UI or even in the controller now playing. Also, response if VERY slow when I navigate into the music library. Same navigation with IR control of SB3 is instantaneous. The web UI is ALSO broken - clicking on an item does nothing! The WEB UI is broken in the Music Folder but not in Albums. The controller is broken in both. this is with 7.1 21304.
Reverting to 21241 eliminates the issue.
Andy, your thoughts on this?
What about radio stations from Picks? I don't have any problems like this here. For the web UI, try a force refresh or clear your cache.
Note that reverting "fixed" this. By the way, just for fun I first tried unintall/reinstall of the failing build and that did NOT fix it. I can try to help, but would like to know what I need to do. I would assume that some tracing is in order.
Created attachment 3517 [details] log of failure to add tracks to playlist This is a log after trying to add the tracks in a folder to the playlist from the web UI. I cleared the cache, by the way.
I installed build 21304 again, which is still broken for me. I replaced the Commands.pm from change 21304 with the previous version and the problem is resolved.
I believe this may be triggered or related to folders (playlists?) which have a large number of entries on the controller. Like 75! I get different results from controller and web UI - the controller issue is the one that appears related to number of entries.
Ignore coment on number of tracks - experimental error. I really can't pin down what's going on.
21391 fixes this.
