Description Jan Andersen 2008-04-03 07:25:45 UTC
I have some albums which all are named "Golden Greats". Each album contains 3 cd's.
I have these album with these artists:
Billie Holiday
Bing crosby
Andrew Sister
and several more artists.

So the albums are not compilations. Each 3-cd album contains only one artist.

I have each album tagged with
COMPILATION=0
DISC=1 (and 2 and 3)
DISCC=3

But for some reason Squeezecenter (and before that, SlimServer) insists on bungling these albums together into one entity.

I have just ripped a set with Glenn Miller.
It dosen't show up under new albums...
But when I click through the artist Glenn Miller, I can find the album, but it will list all the artist that I have "Golden Greats" with as artists on the album, and it will show the cover for Andrew Sisters.
And the track count is much higher than the 70 tracks that's on the 3 Glenn Miller cd's.
If I then click on on the album it will show the correct cover and only the Glenn Miller songs.

Why does Squeezecenter insist on collecting these albums as one? Just because they're named the same.
Will it do any good adding the ALBUMARTIST tag to all the cd's?
