Description Mickey Gee 2008-03-25 14:12:22 UTC
For strings that are too long on the second line of the Boom display, they start scrolling 5 seconds later. The scrolling should start sooner, like perhaps 2 seconds

Are you talking about during setup? If this is when connected to SC, the default is 3.6 seconds and it is a player setting under display options. I regularly change mine to 1s, 2 pixels and something like 0.02 for the rate. there is an open bug for setting better defaults but it's long forgotten.
Comment 2 Mickey Gee 2008-04-07 11:58:00 UTC
You're right -- there are two settings. This bug should be for Setup only.
Comment 3 Jim McAtee 2008-04-17 04:42:31 UTC
Is there currently any provision in the code for setting different player defaults depending on the player type? If so, it might be good to adjust them to the Boom's smaller screen size. A decreased pause time and increased scroll rate seem to work better when fewer characters can be viewed.

see bug 8017 for SC scroll handling.
this one is for setup mode in firmware only.
