Johannes: Can you see if this is fixed?
Comment 6 Michael Herger 2008-04-04 03:46:17 UTC
Very likely not a bug but a configuration issue. Looks like MySQL didn't start at all. Search the event log for MySQL related messages.

Closing this bug, Johannes if you are able reproduce this, please attached the requested logs and reopen
Comment 8 Johannes 2008-04-24 00:10:21 UTC
There might be a reason why this error is hard to reproduce. On Win2003 SC installed as two seperate services squeezesvc and SqueezeMySQL bot marked to start automatically. As far is I know there is no garantuee that the SqueezeMySQL service will be running before squeeesvc. Also if the squeezesvc attempts to start SqueezeMySQL and Windows tries as well I'm not sure what will happen.
Hence it might be an improvement by marking the squeezesvc to depend on the SqueezeMySQL service and mark the latter as manual start. Then SqueezeMySQL will always be started before squeezesvc and the MySQL database will be available on the right moment. I've opened another request for this.

Reduce number of active targets for SC
