Bugzilla – Bug 7544
Albums sharing the album title "Greatest Hits" share the same album art
Last modified: 2009-07-31 10:18:13 UTC
This occurs when viewing albums called Greatest Hits. SqueezeCenter will display random album art work from one of the Greatest Hits albums that does not correspond with the actual album you are viewing. Once a track or entire album is selected to play, SqueezeCenter will then display the correct album art.
This should not be the case. Artwork is stored by id, and the greatest hits albums should all be different ID's so long as their tracks are stored in different folderd.
I will try to reproduce. Since this was originally reported by a user using iTunes as a source the tracks may not be in different folders causing the behavior.
I'm actually seeing a similar, but not the same issue. For me, the album art in the SC interface is shown correctly for each individual song, but it does only see one 'Greatest Hits' album, instead of the three or four that I have in there. When I click on it, I see a mis-mash of all of the greatest hits albums and their songs. At the top, it shows me a random piece of artwork from one of the albums, but when I click on an individual song I see the correct artwork for that song.
I do believe this is a dupe of bug 4361. Please try the fix in last night's build if you have single-disc Greatest Hits albums. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 4361 ***
This bug has recently been fixed in the latest release of SqueezeCenter 7.0.1 Please try that version, if you still see the error, then reopen this bug. To download this version, please navigate to: http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html
