Bugzilla – Bug 7438
Cannot change the order of RSS or Podcasts
Last modified: 2010-04-14 13:10:27 UTC
In SlimServer, I was able to rearrange the order of Podcasts or RSS feeds. It was a pain: if I found a new RSS feed I wanted to come first, I had to paste it in the first box, paste what used to be in the first box into the second, second to third, etc. Same with Podcasts. While I am enjoying SqueezeCenter it is actually kind of important to me to be able to resequence these and unless I'm missing something, there's no way to do it at all within the SqueezeCenter interface. Michael Herger let me know that "It's in plugin/podcast.prefs or rssnews.prefs - just make a backup first. And only edit those files after you've shut down SC" so I will use that as a short-term workaround. But it would be wonderful to have up/down arrows or better yet be able to drag and drop them just like tracks in the playlist.
Brian, Andy requests that you have a look at designing a real user interface for Favorites, RSS, and Podcasts, which are in some sense all the same thing. Andy would like to move podcasts, my radio, podcasts, and rss feeds into a Favorites heirarchy.

We're not targeting this for 7.1 are we?
No, 7.2 at least.
Yeah I can take a stab at it...we can't keep track of which podcasts you've listened to right?
We should look at this as we merge Info Browser and RSS News and Podcasts.

Brian: would this one be yours to handle? if not please reassign appropriately.
Reassigning...
The design solution for this is forthcoming in the settings area for "podcast player."
