Bugzilla – Bug 7425
Ogg file won't play with new SqueezeCenter.
Last modified: 2009-01-21 17:08:42 UTC
I have a number of files encoded at 64kbs encoded with xiph.org libVorbis | 20030909. These files will not play on my SqueezeBox. I get a can't open file error.
Are the ogg vorbis files in question mono by chance? If so this would be a duplicate of bug 4819. If they are not mono would you attach one to this bug so I can investigate?
Created attachment 3043 [details] This ogg file won't open when using native decoding on SqueezeCenter 7
I get the same result as Mark. Disabling native Ogg Vorbis decoding in File Types does allow the file to play however. Most likely related to bug 4723. Here is the ogginfo output of the file attached for reference: New logical stream (#1, serial: 0000290b): type vorbis Vorbis headers parsed for stream 1, information follows... Version: 0 Vendor: Xiph.Org libVorbis I 20030909 (1.0.1) Channels: 2 Rate: 44100 Nominal bitrate: 64.001000 kb/s Upper bitrate not set Lower bitrate not set User comments section follows... ARTIST=Dana Suesse TITLE=Free ALBUM=Pop Recordings 2 GENRE=Oldies Date=1935 TrackNumber=1 Vorbis stream 1: Total data length: 1255765 bytes Playback length: 2m:53.613s Average bitrate: 57.864911 kb/s Logical stream 1 ended
Does native Ogg Vorbis decoding mean it's decoded in SC or in firmware?
I believe that it means in the firmware.
This file does not have cover art or an unusual header.
This won't make it into 7.2
Moving out bug that won't make it for 7.3
Doh, there will be no 7.4 - moving it to 8.0
