Description Eugene Dugaev 2008-02-09 15:19:18 UTC
Situation 1: Playing album from the beginning
Steps to reproduce:
1. In Audio settings for Transporter set POWER ON RESUME to "Pause at power off/Resume at power on".
2. Start playing any album
3. Let the album play till the end
4. Turn Transporter OFF
5. Turn Transporter ON -- the Transporter tarts playing the album from the beginning automatically.

What is wrong: it shouldn't start playing the album from the beginning as by the time TP was turned off it wasn't playing anything, so there's nothing to pause, and nothing to resume at power on.

Situation 2: Shoutcast radio does not resume playback at power on
Steps to reproduce:
1. In Audio settings for Transporter set POWER ON RESUME to "Pause at power off/Resume at power on".
2. Start playing any SHOUTCAST radio
3. Turn transporter OFF
4. Turn transporter ON -- it doesn't "resume at power on".

What is wrong: It doesn't pause and doesn;t resume at power on. Transporter should just resume playing shoutcast station that was playing at power off.

The same behaviour is reproducable at Softsqueeze.

Chris to split into two bugs, assign to Andy for 7.0.1
Comment 2 Alan Young 2008-03-17 10:44:40 UTC
Situation 2 is a dup of bug 7426
Comment 3 Chris Owens 2008-03-23 20:08:40 UTC
I judge the remaining bug is relatively minor.

QA to reproduce.
Comment 4 Ross Levine 2008-03-26 17:51:03 UTC
Reproduced both scenarios with XP.
Comment 5 Alan Young 2008-04-01 10:46:23 UTC
There are three possible modes which in which play will start at power-on:

1. 'PauseOff-PlayOn'
2. 'StopOff-PlayOn'
3. 'StopOff-ResetPlayOn'

This bug report clearly targets 1. But what about 2 & 3. My guess is that 2 should also remain stopped after power-on if it was stopped at power-off. I am less sure about 3 - guess it should also stay off.

Dean, would you like to make a ruling?

Ping Dean
Comment 7 Blackketter Dean 2008-04-04 10:56:56 UTC
Yes, only unpause when powering on. if we're stopped, don't play.

Sorry for the delay...
