Description Stephen Kilburn 2008-02-05 11:58:15 UTC
A directory with an initial period is skipped by the scanner.

(How would I have found this and had it be an issue? Andreas Vollenweider has an album called "...Behind The Gardens - Behind The Wall - Under The Tree...", and my naming convention is <genre>\<artist>\<album>, with music stored on a Windows box, which doesn't care if the directory starts with a period.)

This is probably an artifact of Unix-type operating systems and not fixable, but I am logging it to document that it is there.

FWIW, this was added as a feature as per bug 6372.
Comment 2 Stephen Kilburn 2008-02-05 12:13:00 UTC
Ha! So it's not a bug; it's a feature :D.

I'm marking it as resolved WONTFIX (as long as I'm allowed to change the status). As I wrote in the initial report, I thought it was probably intentional, but still think it is good to have an entry in Bugzilla documenting this as intended behaviour.
