Description Mark Miksis 2008-02-02 15:45:37 UTC
The Jive "Choose Player" menu, should list the players attached to SN and support the "switch back" capability like SC does.

SN connected players associated with your account should appear on the player list. Are they not for you?

I don't think they ever have (on Jive). I'm testing with SB2's and the "old" SN Beta server.

If you're using the 'old' beta server, make sure the beta checkbox under Jive Advanced -> SqueezeNetwork is not checked.

It is unchecked.

What's the MAC address of your Jive?

OK, looking at the server log your Jive has not yet been linked to your SN account. You should see a 'SqueezeNetwork' item in the choose player list that will give you the PIN you can use to register it to your account.

OK, this whole thing is probably user error. It seems to be working now by doing the following:

I made sure both my players are properly linked to SN and then selected "Music Source->SN" on Jive. Thereafter, Jive reports both players when it is connected to either SC or SN.

However, I have never seen a "SN" option under "choose player" on Jive either before or after linking it to SN. Nor have I found a way to obtain or enter a PIN for the Jive. Is that what you meant? Is there a way for me to go to SN and unlink the Jive so I can try again?

Otherwise, it works. I find some of the Jive player-switching UI to be non-intuitive, but I'll test more and open a new bug if necessary.

Ok, so the way it's supposed to work is that only players should appear under Choose Player. SqueezeNetwork should appear under Music Source.

Richard's working on the PIN and first install as part of 6764.
