I'm starting this bug as a container for localization issues to be fixed sooner or later. I'll do the notes in the target language where appropriate :-)

German:

LOCATION: "Standort": used in song information. "Standort" is for something physical, a real object in 3D. Better use "Pfad" (MusicIP), "Speicherort", "Ort" (iTunes)

"Adding xy to playlist" results in "Einfügen läuft ... xy an Wiedergabelist...", idem when removing. I'd suggest something like:

JIVE_POPUP_ADDING
	DE	Füge

JIVE_POPUP_REMOVING
	DE	Entferne

JIVE_POPUP_TO_PLAYLIST
	DE	an Wiedergabeliste an

JIVE_POPUP_FROM_PLAYLIST
	DE	aus Wiedergabeliste

Ben - could we use ARTWORK or COVERART instead of SHOW_ARTWORK in Jive's songinfo menu? Some of the translations seem to be using plural for SHOW_ARTWORK, as it's used in the web interface to toggle artwork on/off. (and don't worry about the other comments in this bug :-))
Comment 3 Michael Herger 2008-02-25 01:20:08 UTC
from bug 7288:
Spanish (and very likely others too):
Jive menu > Biblioteca de música > Random Mix ++ should be "Mezcla Aleatoria"
ive menu > Biblioteca de música > Artistas > Empty ++ should be "Nada" when there are no items in the Local Music DB
Jive menu > Biblioteca de música > Álbumes > Empty ++ should be "Nada" when there are no items in the Local Music DB
Jive menu > Biblioteca de música > Géneros > Empty ++ should be "Nada" when there are no items in the Local Music DB

one more?
Jive & SC7 menu > Favoritos > Play channel: ++ should be "Juega canal"
Comment 5 Michael Herger 2008-02-27 02:41:26 UTC
Jive, German: Sleep -> "Schlafmodus" -> confusing, as "Schlafmodus" is rather a power saving mode than the SC's Sleep feature.

Is this on the Controller only? And only if you switch language after you started SC? Try restarting SC with the language set to German - now you get it all translated, don't you?

I remember an issue with pre-cached results or something. Or it's due to the lately added per client language setting :-/.

change 19579 - use client specific language settings in queries whenever possible

trying to close again - please give it another try. Please note that I can confirm unexpected behaviour when SC is restarted while Controller is running. SBC would then sometimes mix up languages. But that's probably another issue (Controller specific).

Closing this bug, if you see any other SLT issue, please open a new bug

Reduce number of active targets for SC
