Description Ross Levine 2007-12-07 17:55:29 UTC
I've been using Jive to test Rhapsody for over an hour, it's still working fine however the network icon is red indicating a networking problem.
Comment 1 Blackketter Dean 2007-12-09 08:31:36 UTC
The hardware appears to be working, looks like a software problem. Ross: can you reproduce this?
Comment 2 Ross Levine 2007-12-11 16:02:41 UTC
I don't have any tips for reproducing this other than to say the 3 times I've seen it I was using Rhapsody. Dean mentions he's seen this at home too, I'm seeing it right now.
Comment 3 Richard Titmuss 2008-02-11 06:39:50 UTC
I am seeing this a lot while testing the suspend/resume functions. It looks like the lua os.execute() call is falling. Any other code that uses os.execute() (for example enabling/disabling ssh logins) also fails. It looks like this is the first sign of an Out-Of-Memory condition.
Comment 4 Blackketter Dean 2008-02-11 07:33:26 UTC
Is this only a cosmetic (red when it should not be) issue or a sign of a larger problem?
Comment 5 Richard Titmuss 2008-02-11 07:36:17 UTC
It's a sign of a larger problem, the system is running out of memory. Today I've seen this testing suspend/resume, and I found the problem here (the dhcp process was not always killed on suspend, and you can have lots after a short while).
Comment 6 Richard Titmuss 2008-03-07 14:34:05 UTC
The red wireless icon is symptom of a memory leak.
