Description Blackketter Dean 2007-11-25 10:44:13 UTC
Several people (most recently: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40543 ) have mentioned that they think that they can't update when in actuality they are already updated. The confusion stems from the fact that the software update preference doesn't tell them that they already have the same version installed.

We should, at a minimum, put some text there that says "Your controller software is up to date with version XXX."

This leaves out the option to reinstall the current software. I'm not sure that this is really a useful option.

In the case that they have FW on their SD card, it's probably ok to let them install from SD card anyway, those are power users.

Actually the confusion stems from the fact we changed the wording. The functionality has not changed since it was originally written, and the forum posts started in the build after the text was changed.

This is also a dup of 6019.

This bug has recently been fixed in the latest release of SqueezeCenter 7.0.1

Please try that version, if you still see the error, then reopen this bug.
