Description Jim McAtee 2007-11-02 15:17:28 UTC
Really a problem only in the new Default skin. The hiding of controls means that you can't tell which links are playable and which are folders. Some kind of folder icon for folders would make the interface more usable.

Brian: what do you think?
Comment 2 Brian Dils 2007-11-07 15:14:40 UTC
I don't think its a top priority, but if Scott can create a folder icon that jives with the rest of the UI (no pun intended), I'm all for it.

Given all the recent focus on icons at the top level and all the iterations and redesigns of those icons, I'm surprised that nobody has seen fit to create a folder icon and one that indicates when a favorite is playable. Having to drag your mouse over everything in the window just to be able to tell which is which is a bad design.

Reopening, since bug 6390 never resolved this. Currently, a folder displays the same icon as a generic favorite. The only way you can visually tell the difference is to mouseover them and see whether or not the > (play) and + (add) icons appear.

Dean doesn't work here any more :)

Unassigned bugs cannot have a priority.
