Description David Myers 2007-10-28 07:08:13 UTC
I can't reproduce this issue so I understand if this bug doesn't count towards my "Find 'em" total, but I'm reporting it anyway in the hope it might prove useful.

I added two new MP3s from the same album to my collection and ran a "Look for new and changed music" rescan. After the scan completed the album did not appear in New Music.

Then I did a "Clear library and rescan everything" rescan and the album appeared in New Music as expected.

I then added another single MP3 from a different album and did a "Look for new" rescan, and the album appeared as expected.

I've added small numbers of MP3s and done "Look for new" rescans several times with several recent nightlies and haven't seen this issue except this one time.

In my setup the music files are stored on a homemade NAS; SC7 is running under VMware on a separate system and accessing the files over NFS; and the new MP3s were added from a third system via SMB/CIFS. But the clocks on all systems are synched to a local NTP server.

This has happened again, and appears to be related to bug 5948. Please see additional information in that bug.
