Description Justin Fletcher 2007-10-20 04:17:13 UTC
I turned off the jive remote by holding Home.
Then turned it on again by pressing Home.
Then I put it on the cradle.

I saw the Logitech logo appear and then it was replaced with the Free Your Music banner.

I left it a bit.
I went for some breakfast.
I came back.
I wrote this bug.
It's still showing that banner.

Previous experience implied that this banner wasn't removed until you pressed a key or moved the wheel, which was part of the reason for this test - to observe whether this behaviour was real or just my imagination.

Removing from the cradle didn't do anything.
Rotating the wheel did clear the banner, but I think the timeout isn't working because it seemed stuck.
Or maybe there isn't a timeout and there ought to be so it doesn't appear to have hung.

(reason for turning it off and on again was to try to get the Now Playing to synchronise with what is actually being played - on the plus side, the Now playing screensaver now seems to be updated to the current track)

This looks like a duplicate of bug #5820.

I agree; I'll mark it as such. Couldn't see that bug when I did a search though :-( Maybe I'm just blind!
