When booting an already-configured Jive hardware, the "Free your music" screeen remains up (i.e. the screen doesn't get redrawn with the actual menu) until a button or wheel event happens.

Is this by design, Richard?  I agree it could be confusing to new users.

I can't recreate this. You do get a couple of stray sound effects on the "Free your music" screen, but always for me the screen disappears on the timeout. If anyone can either get some debug using a dongle, or ssh then that would be really helpful.
