The "Download" link on the song info page used to let you download between
machines using the web server built into SlimServer. It now is a file:// URL
that is only useful on the machine that SlimServer is running on.

not in all cases. many of mine are fine.
When this is more likely to happen is when using itunes or moodlogic, or when
the music folder contains shortcuts to mapped drives.  The routine to convert
file:// to http:// has a match with the 'audiodir' pref.  It is easily fooled.
