Description Wallace Lai 2007-10-03 16:42:13 UTC
System Info: XP SP2 ENU, and Vista Gold ENU. Tried on two different PCs.
SqueezeCenter Version: 2007-10-03

Steps to Reproduce:
1. On a clean ghost of XP or Vista, install SqueezeCenter 7.0a1, build 2007-10-03.
2. SqueezeCenter starts automatically. SquuezeTray icon shows up on the Task Bar also.
3. Right click the SqueezeCenter icon to bring up the menu.
4. Notice the icon disappears.

Note: this user had installed the today's build of SlimServer 6.5.5 onto the same PCs. This problem was not seen. Therefore, it is isolated to SqueezeCenter bug only.

Is this a one time thing right after installation, or is it reproducable after every start? Do you seen any error message in Windows' event log or something?
Comment 2 Michael Herger 2007-10-04 00:03:44 UTC
And can you still reproduce with the latest nightly? I've done a few more changes since the 10-03 build time.
Comment 3 Wallace Lai 2007-10-04 17:30:52 UTC
This user tried with today's build on XP SP2 ENU and Vista Gold ENU. (Today is 2007-10-04.) Bug as written is no longer seen. Based on Mr. Michael Herger's comment, it is obvious he fixed it. Marking this as fixed.
Comment 4 Wallace Lai 2007-10-04 17:32:32 UTC
Verified the fix on XP SP2 ENU and Vista Gold ENU. Bug as written is no longer seen.
Regressed around to make sure nothing was broken because of this fix. None was found.
Marking as "VERIFIED".

Comment 6 Dan Evans 2007-11-12 12:01:26 UTC
I updated to latest build this morning- SqueezeCenter Version: 7.0 - 14627 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252

When I tried to right-click on the SqueezeTray icon it crashed. Rebooting the system and trying this again the tray icon works fine, so it's not 100% of the time.

I'll continue to see if I can reproduce predictably.

Felix has looked at this, but it seems difficult to reproduce. Reliable repro instructions would be very helpful!

Ugh. Happening again with recent Squeezebox Server. For awhile I thought it was just me. Windows XP SP2 laptop. Very annoying.
Comment 14 Chris Tashjian 2009-09-07 21:08:23 UTC
I'm seeing this in Windows 7... have been for over a week now with the nightly builds. It disappears if you right OR left-click.
Comment 15 Michael Herger 2009-09-07 21:13:57 UTC
Please update to the latest build. I've fixed this yesterday.

This seems to have crept back in with r28624 on XP, I right-clicked and it disappeared.

Was SC running, starting stopped?
