Description Matthijs Koopmans 2007-10-01 22:44:09 UTC
The mixer returns albums/artists/genres perfectly when run from the squeezecentre interface. However, when accessing the mixer through the player, in any of the options, no items are returned.

musicIP's upnp service isn't supported.

Steven to try to repro and see if there's really a bug here.
Comment 4 Spies Steven 2007-11-16 15:35:17 UTC
Is this bug report referring to the MusicIP option "Musicmagic Player Settings for Each Mix" set to yes? If so, it works as described for me with the nightly build. I am going to resolve this bug as works for me, please reopen if you still have problems.

it's not about the player settings for creating a mix. It's about the uPNP server that you can enable in MusicIP. It will show up as a browse option under Music Library, but when you try to browse, you just get errors or empty screens.

Matthijs, is what KDF describes the same as what you are seeing? Do you have the UPnP Media Server option checked in MusicIP Services? I thought you were referring to the ability to change MusicIP options on the Squeezebox display before the mix is made by having the "Musicmagic Player Settings for Each Mix" option set to yes.

KDF, I enabled the UPnP Media Server in MusicIP but I am not seeing it as a browse option under Music Library. I assume you you able to get MusicIP to show up as UPnP source. Any ideas?

I get musicIP AND Mythtv as upnp sources. neither work. as far as I know upnp doesn't work. Apparently it works with Rhapsody, and I have had it work a long time ago with Twonky (trial period long since over). There are a few other upnp reports which may be combined.

Matthijs, I am going to mark this as a dupe of bug 5573 as KDF suggests. If this is not correct please reopen this bug and add additional comments, thanks.
