Description Mathias Kozlowski 2007-09-30 19:45:46 UTC
Hi,
my UPnP media server is a LaCie Ethernet Big Disk 1T with latest firmware (1.1.1).

When I was using software milestone 6.4/SB version 81, UPnP browsing was fatal (SB freezing/resetting!) Now with 7.0/82, browsing is good, mp3 files are played normaly but WMA files (without DRM) are not; the message "error: unable to parse AFS audio stream" is then reported. The strange thing is that the same files, accessed through SlimServer are perfectly parsed and played!?!

Thx for considering this, nice product btw!
Mat

if you are interesting in doing some debugging, try settings player.source and formats.audio to DEBUG, then check on the log file after you trying playing some of the problematic files. The location of the log file is noted at the top of the SqueezeCenter -> debugging page.

Could be related to bug 5573

Andy notes there seems to be a bug with downloading a WMA *file* over an HTTP connection. Dean notes that in general UPNP bugs will be more serious.

Andy says he will give a URL to an mp3 file on his mp3tunes account for Alan to repro with.
