Description Jeff Shanholtz 2004-09-08 14:11:37 UTC
As discussed in the email list yesterday/today...

I just got the dramatized Bible on CD's and I'm starting to load them into the
slimserver. It would be really cool if I could make a playlist of the whole
collection and then have the current location (track and position) within the
playlist remembered even after listening to other stuff and then coming back.
I'm not sure how this would best be accomplished in the UI. Maybe an attribute
of the playlist as opposed to something special you have to do when you're
done and you want the position saved?

To illustrate, let's say I'm in the middle of Genesis and then I switch to
playing some music (i.e. the current playlist is replaced). When I come back
to my Bible playlist, it ought to remember that I was in the middle of Genesis
track 5 and pick right up from there.

If we create a syntax for bug479, this could probably be linked with that. Have
an added item for index and offset. index being the current song when last
saved (or updated live) and offset being the current song offset. This might
also be something that the SQL DB can handle quite nicely.

Moving bugs not slated for 6.1 to future release. Please modify if this is incorrect or if this issue has
already been addressed.

We do save position within a playlist, but not within a song yet. Changing summary to reflect this, the
song index we do save.

Routine bug db maintenance; removing old versions which cause confusion. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Dean doesn't work here any more :)
