Bugzilla – Bug 4847
PlayList Add function does not work on both CLI and Web UI.
Last modified: 2008-12-18 11:12:53 UTC
System Info: Gateway, P4, 2.00 GHz, 256 MB of RAM, XP SP2 ENU SlimServer Version: 7.0a1 - 11653 Perl Version: 5.8.8 MSWin32-x86-multi-thread MySQL Version: 5.0.22-community-nt Steps to Reproduce: 1. On a clean ghost of XP SP2 ENU, install SlimServer 7.0a1 of build 2007-03-21. 2. Start SlimServer. 3. Start SlimServer Web UI. 4. Go to Music Folder. 5. Open "Sample Music". (There are some sample tracks inside provided by Microsoft.) 6. Click the "+" button for "All Songs" and/or each song. 7. Notice nothing is added to the PlayList frame on the right hand side. 8. Use corresponding PlayList Add CLI command. 9. Notice it does not work either. Note: I am guessing this bug is caused by CLI command does not work.
I'm not seeing this, the "+" button next to all songs works fine for me. However there does seem to be something wrong with the playlist play command in CLI. What command are you using Wallace? I tried <playername> playlist play C:\etc etc.. It returns my command but the playlist isn't changed.
this is an existing bug that Triode fixed a couple of days ago. I can't find the number right now, but it is for Music Folder browse, and nothing to do with CLI. Web UI does not use CLI.

wallace, 20070322: Verified with today's 7.0a1 build (2007-03-22). Bugs as written is no longer seen. Apperantly fixed. By the way, the CLI I was using was through telnet. Those commands are working also. They were not working with yesterday's 7.0a1 build. Closing this bug. Regression tests found nothing else is broken because of the fix. This is really cool. Hi, KDF, 4790 was one of my bugs. It is about folders but not songs showing up. That bug was fixed and verified. While doing regression testing on that bug, I found this one. I am glad it is fixed also. The developers are just awsome.
Verified it works now with SqueezeCenter_trunk_v2008-01-15.exe on XP SP2 ENU. Bug was written is no longer seen. Regression tests around this area did not turn up any related bug. Marking as "VERIFIED".
Closing.
