Description Wallace Lai 2007-03-21 14:16:56 UTC
System Info: Gateway, P4, 2.00 GHz, 256 MB of RAM, XP SP2 ENU
SlimServer Version: 7.0a1 - 11653
Perl Version: 5.8.8 MSWin32-x86-multi-thread
MySQL Version: 5.0.22-community-nt

Steps to Reproduce:
1. On a clean ghost of XP SP2 ENU, install SlimServer 7.0a1, build 2007-03-21.
2. On one of the Install Shield page, make sure Automatically Start is checked.
3. After the installation, mouse over the SlimTray.
4. Notice the tool tip says "SlimServer Stopped".

Work Around:
Start it manually from SlimTray.

Verified, this is a problem only from the installers option of starting automatically. If I choose start automatically from Slimtray it works fine.

Sounds like a duplicate of Bug 4606.

wallace, 20070322: Sorry guys. This is not a bug. I read the line above the checkbox very carefully with today's 7.0a1 build. It says to set SlimServer to auto start when the PC starts. Closing. BTW, SlimServer does start when the PC boots.

Tried again with SqueezeCenter_trunk_v2008-01-15.exe on XP SP2 ENU. It starts automatically just fine after install.
Marking as "VERIFIED".
