Description Dan Evans 2006-11-07 12:45:27 UTC
The customer from support tmid 12148 sent us the file that he found was crashing his scanner.

I've tried it here and it crashes the scanner on both Windows XP systems in support. (mine and ross') I have Slimserver version 6.5.1 - 10475. Ross has 6.5.0 - 9916.

Fixed in change 10616.

Note that this is a specific fix for MP3 files that have bogus 'extended header size' ID3v2 fields.

The crash would only occur on Windows.

The crash occurred because the tag reader was attempting to read past the end of the file.
