Description Andy Grundman 2006-09-28 12:36:18 UTC
When running the compiled slim.exe under Windows, all XML parsing fails with:

not well-formed (invalid token) at line 1, column 6, byte 6 at /PerlApp/XML/Parser.pm line 187

Running using ActivePerl and slimserver.pl, the problem goes away.

Who should this be assigned to?
Comment 2 Chris Owens 2006-09-28 14:29:45 UTC
What are the symptoms of this likely to be, so I can consolidate duplicate bugs?

Slimserver 6.51 Still Not Working
It was mentioned here that there seems to be a conflict with Windows to allow Slimserver to stream from Live365, Shoutcast, RadioTime, etc. I have updated for the past 3 nights with the new nightly hoping the problem would be fixed. Is there any news when Slimserver 6.51 will be working again ?
Comment 5 Andy Grundman 2006-10-01 18:52:13 UTC
You can work around this bug for now by installing ActivePerl and running slimserver.pl instead of slim.exe.

Fixed in the latest Windows builds.

Please reinstall the latest 6.5.1 build (it got rebuild about an hour ago).

The 7.0 builds will be build in approx 12 hours.

The issue was with our build machine, and the server/lib/ dir not taking priority over the system install XML::Simple module.
